I'm relatively new to the forums here. I have often come here to listen to good music. I have recently started working on my own pieces. This track is my 3rd one I have done so far. Can you let me know what you think of it?
Thanks!

EDIT: I have changed out the bass drum many times. I just can't seem to get it right for this song. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....
Update: I changed the bass drum.....please let me know what you think |

| i think you want a rich style kick for this one. Very punchy and has a good attack to it. A really trancy kick. The track is interesting. Not something I normally listen to, but I didn't really find any wrong things in it imo. Good track for the 3rd one. I'm going to check out your other ones now. |

| Definitely not bad for a third track. Especially melody- and structural wise. It's got a nice progressive feel in overall. Though I would prefer it a bit more driving. Anyways, this is quite promising. Good luck with future productions. :) |

Thanks for the replies!
I believe you are correct, Lindo, about the kick. I'm using Native Instrument's Battery 2 for my drums. I'll have to peruse through it and find something a bit more punchy. Does anyone know a good drum kit within Battery to use for the kick?
Thanks again.... |

intro sounds very sasha. thats good imo.
kick isnt bad but it could be better. it has a good oomph. lovely sounds you have working through this. lacks drive but it depends on the style your trying to create. it has a tech feel although its quite proggy. think you should keep it at the one genre. melody is nice. synth is very trancy.
overall nice track, as someone said very good for a third track. just aim it at one genre of trance and give it a bit of as drive and the track will sound much neater.
cheers

Thanks for the review. I've seen people say tracks need more 'drive'. Excuse the noob question, but what exactly does that mean?
Thanks! |
