Hey this is probably a stupid question but you must understand i'm from Australia see? :p Anyways, Eddie Halliwell, Cosmic Gate and Above & Beyond are coming to my home town of Brisbane for the Godskitchen tour in a few months and i'm wondering if there is any way of knowing some of the tracks they will be playing cos a set is always better to me when i know quite a few of the tracks that are being played. I understand that there are tracklist postings in these forums and sets you can download and all the rest of it but when i read through these music discussion forums everyone seems to know this huge selection of trance tracks and ive never heard of them.
I guess wat im asking is, wats the best way of keeping up to date with wat certain DJs are spinning?
P.S. for all those who are going to spray me for asking a stupid question, forgive my ignorance :p |

| Tracklistings....do a search for the artists. Go on their websites, they usually post them on their website, they may even have a Top 10... |

its only a stupid question, because you seem to know the answer allready, as you pointed out in your own post this website is one of the best sources on keeping up with what the dj are playing, you can search for the latest sets of your favorite dj's on the internet get the tracklistings(which is espicially easy for above & beyond since they have their own weekly internet radio show TATW.)
Who knows you might really like one of the songs, and you buy it, then you get a bunch more songs, you learn to mix, start djing have your own tracklisting, then you start making your songs and get signed to label, start touring the world, and then some clueless bloke askes for you latest tracklisting...wow that would be something
have fun mate

I can predict that...
everyone is going to play crappy hands in the air anthems that we have heard a thousand times before.

simplest way to keep urself updated :
listen to ASOT. it's a weekly show. many tracks become popular after they get featured on one of the ASOTs.
you can download the latest set torrents (including ASOT) from themixingbowl.org or some other websites. (*disclamer* I am not asking you to download. I'm only hinting at possible illegal resources available on the net. tranceaddict does not support file sharing :p )
The sets will usually come with cue files. play from the cue file and hey! u r one of those who seem to know all the latest tracks !! |
