+1
so far Tiesto himself has only played the Extended Mix. I guess the orchestral one is for those people bitching the theme samples are cut a bit short in the actual remix. |

| Why do these samples not work for me? |

| Probably the best Tiesto production for the last few years, but not something i would buy |

| Quite surprised by this. TBH I had no idea what to expect but it reminds me quite a bit of the trance we were hearing just as the new millenium was coming around. Can't say I could see myself dancing to this in a club without thinking "wtf I'm dancing to pirate music" but it's nicely done. Reminds me a bit of Airbase's stuff a little in structure/sound as well - curious to hear what Tiesto's album will sound like now. I'm a little less skeptical about it, but time will tell. |

I hate this track. It's so friggin' melody heavy. Chill out please :(
I must add though that for a remix of a pirate movie's theme, it's pretty good. |

that's only 'cause you're aware of the tune's title and origin. i heard tiesto drop it last month and having no idea what it was, thought it was a solid tune that worked well within the set (i too thought it was airbase).
doesn't blow me away, but for a tune made for the express purpose of movie promotion it's not bad at all. |

first off i knew Tijs had his work cut out in front of him.
Klaus' (note:* not Zimmer ;) ) original theme from pirates is written in 3/4 time. really almost impossible to write a trance version is seeing that trance MUST be in 4/4 time. (for too many reasons)
HOWEVER, having said that, Its not entirely too bad. the orchestral version doesnt have a smooth transition for the breakdown.
It does have an Airbase'ish quality about it (with the rolling bassline). But then so did Tiesto "Olympic Flame"
Would've been brilliant if Airbase DID do the remix for it with a MAIN RIFF that is similar to Lost Witness - Love Again (Airbase Remix) <<<< MONSTER TRACK!!!!!!
I say not bad track from Tiesto and a 50/50 shot on its purchase IMO... |

bravo konijin someone with a brain
like i said in another post i bet without the flight 643 sample in the begining and without knowing tiesto made this track i would defff enjoy it hearing it for the first time out in a club if he droped it
does not really sound like his style these days thats why iam kind os supprised its acutally a tiesto track |

| OMG! I would never tought Tiesto would messed up a truly professional composers track and guess what Hans Zimmer is my favorite composer. God this sounds like ass! Tiesto should just give up! 0/10 |

That's possible, but the last time I heard anything that resembled pirate music in a club I kinda got scared and sat my ass down (I have no idea what the track ID was). I'm sure it's great in a club overall as it is quite anthemic - but again, pirate music doesn't sit well with me either way (and you CAN tell based on how it sounds that it is pirate-y) |
