Hey all,
I have a GSM phone from Canada that I am not using at the moment and I want to be able to use it in Ibiza. I was wondering if there is a way to go about it and if so, what needs to be done? Do I have to unlock the phone, can I just buy a number in Ibiza for a couple weeks, how much does it cost, do I get a SIM card from the same people in Ibiza, etc etc etc?? By the way, I am wanting to use a Motorola V60i (I know, it's OLD OLD OLD, but it's the only GSM phone I have).
Thanks everyone,
Terry |

Your cellphone might be simlocked so you need to get that taken care of.
Now in regards to service over there you'll want to buy a prepaid SIM Card.
Then you can recharge by buying cards like this:

I also found this but I can't vouch for what it means as I don't speak spanish:

OK, another question.
Anyone know how to unlock a phone easily? I went to a dealer and they said it would be $300 for an unlocking code!! Bull! |

| If you have been under contract with that phone for a long time ( 6 months to a year are the minimum I think ) the cellphone carrier is contractually obligated to unlock it for you for free if you ask! |

or do this... call you phone company and tell them you need to use the phone on the trip! they might just give them you sim code. That's the way i did it. except when i called them i pretened to be a dealer since i didn't have a T-mobile account to unlock my A630 phone for cingular. Suckas fell for it :D saved me $$$ |
