lost from what used to be my sig. "You are all a lost generation." - Gertrude Stein in conversation. that was one of the two quotes preceding ernest hemingway's the sun also rises which is my all time favorite book. in hemingway's a moveable feast he recounts that conversation and his feelings about it and how he feels that everyone is lost in their own generation. and i thought about that for a long time and i look at our generation and i feel that is what the whole underground scene is about...or was about. just a bunch of lost people finding some sort of identity with this living, breathing organism that was the underground scene. so i picked it for my dj name and then it's become a part of everything i do. i also picked it for it's religious allusions and because i like to look at the flipside of every coin. for example "lost" brings up the connotations that you are lost to God but people fail to realize that you can also be lost to the world. and i, my friends, am the latter.
