what you'de listen to in a rave in the uk would have been different than what you would have listened to in california. moreover, that list you posted is has tunes analogous to MOS Annual series ones; not the best but amongst the most commercially popular.

if i have to recommend one it'd be one by Moby under his U.H.F. alias:

U.H.F. - U.H.F. [1991]

it's surprisingly fresh, and sprinkled with classic rave and proto-trance sounds

you can also try Enery Rave and it's only 1.99 @ amazon.

No, please read the question (late 80's Acid-House). The first 6 cd's of the Turn Up The Bass series also contained Acid-House. This is were I refer to. Also these first 6 cd's were known of there colour (yellow, green, pink..etc) and the Smilies on the cover. Smilies almost = Acid.

But on the later versions (there were 25 Turn Up The Bass cd's)also The Prodigy, Shamen and Moby were present. These 3 already have been mentioned.

Marusha indeed is a perfect Rave example. In fact in the mid 90's Germany was Raveland. Westbam, Randy, Interactive, Scooter and many, many more.

I need to learn how to read I think.

I do remember those ugly-ass covers of the first few episodes, though :)

I never posted a list!?! :conf:
I don't really have any songs from the genre besides a few dj mixes I picked up from various sites (djmixes.net and www.puresound.prv.pl)

Thanks for the recs though, I may try and pick up one of the Energy Rave cds since they are cheap as bloody hell.

Yeah that would be him. He isn't bad.

I've discovered quite a bit more now through live sets. Pretty good. I 'm still working on finding good singles though. These suggestions helped, thanks.
