Digital mixer for CD players?

The CDJ-200's have digital out. Do you guys think it would be worth getting a digital mixer like the Numark DXM09 so that the signal stays digital until it leaves my mixer? It sounds like it's a pretty good idea.

Edit : Apparently none of Numark's "pure digital" mixers have digital inputs. So the digital signal would jump right to analog as soon as it left the damn CD player. How lame..

Well the Numark DXM09 is digital but it doesn't have digital ins like the Pioneer DJM-800. That is more what that is for. The Numark DXM09 and the Pioneer DJM-400 are digital mixers meaning they have a 24 bit/96 Khz response like with EQing..control, and cross fading and such, but not true digital sound. They still use line in. So in that respect, they may sound better than some analogue mixers, but wont be up to par with digital in. You'll probably get just as good, if not better with a mixer like X:One 32 or an Ecler Nuo 3 or Nuo 4. They might not be "digital mixers" but they are quality mixers for either CDJs or TTs. If you want true digital sound, you have to spend $1,600 on a DJM-800, because they wouldn't feature that on a $350-$400 mixer like the DXM-09.

Yep, the whole digital thing is a bit decieving. The DJM-800 is the only true digital mixer...true digital costs $$

If you want a good mixer just go for a higher end analogue like X:One 32 or Ecler Nuo 3 or Nuo 4 or a even a Rane Empath (really expensive though)...you really don't need a DJM-800 for CDJ 200s. I think it's over kill. A two or three channel is really all you need...and the more expensive ones should offer you very crisp, clear sound...even a DJM-400 might work, but again, not true digital sound.
