Sander Van Doorn - Dark Roast(2006 Re-Fill) [Maelstrom]

It's flaming June and you definitely need something fiery for the dancefloor.
SVD answers the call with his re-fill of the massive 'Dark Roast' released back in 2004 but, the word re-fill hardly applies here.

Sander has delivered a completely new and fresh production.
This corker sits on a solid tribal-trance bassline with sweet, acidic stabs coming at you from all angles.
The highlight is definitely the breakdown that is a very funky breakbeat affair(almost detroit techno'ish) after which the trademark SVD ear-piercing effects do some aural damage before the bassline slams right back in and the carnage continues. Need I say more? - 10/10 Listen

Also included in this neat package is both mixes of Pumpkin as released on Oxygen Recordings.
Thus, this an extremely DJ-friendly package well-deserving of that space in your box.

Release Date : 8 August

Promos were out yesterday.
Check Chemical/HTFR.

NOTE : This is a special UK release version.
Oxygen may press this later in the year but don't count on it.

...i hate being mean but this is the reason why i really dont like sander van doorn...i firstly dont like this style of "techtrance" and secondly why does he need to reremix his own songs every year?:|
Gabe de Wielen

I'll just keep playing the original. What a bassline.

I expected more from this, I still prefer original.

i quite like it but it seems to be nothing special at all. just another techtrancer like all the other svd tracks! but that wasn't really a big surprise :o

SvD had his own original style when his first tracks came out but he hasn't changed much in the past couple of years - most of his tracks sound the same unfortunately..

Guess he needs cash =/
