... all group favorites are in position to go thru the second round.

this cup looks promising with the clash of favorites in the 2nd tour and onward...

discuss.

Two smaller upsets:

Trinidad & Tobago vs. Sweden 0-0
Mexico vs. Angola 0-0

The rest was expected for the most, Hoping for some upsets later on..

First time you say something half decent lol j/k

Anyways, I was thinking that too. I was expecting some upsets in the groups stage but I really doubt the top favorites this time are failing.

Still France's future is uncertain but I'm really looking forward to a quarterfinal filled with countries with serious aspirations of winning the WC, instead of the random surprise team that feels happy about reaching quarterfinals and then loses badly.

Yeah, this world cup is quite exciting.

i'd like for there to be a few more upsets....and some of the favorites to be shot down (except for brazil because we're the lol)

hopefully one african team can advance.:D

so far you're right...

i'm still going to resist and defy logic by hoping that the czech get rocked by ghanna, and italy.

group D is still up in the air, but to me it looks like portugal is probably gonna advance. if mexico keeps playing like this, they better start praying that angola, and iran loose their next game.

please help to root for the europeans to get shot down.

eventhough we're rooting for different SA teams, i still want the cup to stay in south america. between us, we have more WC's than all of europe combined. we must continue to own them.

Not sure how Angola and Iran can both lose their next game?!

i meant that iran has to lose against portugal, and angola has to loose to iran. this means that mexico will advance only because they have 3 pts more than the other two teams.

I'd rather have obvious results than South Korea and Turkey in the semi-finals. With all due respect. I smell this world cup will be a quite legendary one, with dramatic unforgettable games to come :)

I dont root for rival teams in same continent, maybe the only South American teams Id root for in the cup vs the rest of the world is Ecuador and Brazil, and Trinidad in the other zone
