Really, Serato live is the same as FS though, using the laptop, hardware, and vinyl? Or is it a software only that flies from the laptop?

serato is basically the same as final scratch. you use a laptop along with timed vinyl or timed cd.
but ive been hearing that serato is 1000x better than final scratch.

Ya I don't really want to hear that. I bought final scratch V2 a little while back and don't mind it...I haven't tried Serato, I was under the impression it was for the scratchers left out there...however I run it on a high end PC laptop and there are tones of bugs. I'd have to upgrade to a MAC, but I'm not willing to go further with it cause in the end, I rarely ever bother using it at live gigs because of the setup....too much of a pain in the ass, and the club promoters/owners haven't been to warm to me telling them I gotta plug into the system!!! Now it's just a cool comodity at home.
