Some tune called Rhubard & Custard was also highly repulsive.

That was by Shaft.

I'm adding my whole collection to discogs and I'm ashamed to say that Robert Ferrera - Ambassador's Party tune is in it. Unfortunately it's not listed on the site so I'm going to have the dubious honour of adding it...

A cash-in that made 'Trip To Trumpton' sound like 'Strings Of Life', this record was condemned as "really tacky" by no greater authority on the subject than Ray Slinjngaard - aka that bloke out of 2 Unlimited. A hideous dance reworking of the Nintendo theme, this was spawned by the production team who topped the charts two years previously with 'Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini'. But to fully understand the dark forces at work behind this record, you have to look to the credit for "executive producer". Oh Christ, I'll call you back. It's Andrew Lloyd Webber. Honestly.

arrggghhhhhh! why did you have to mention that stupid itsy bitsy piece of bikini song! ever since it was in some stupid bloody commercial that was on all the time one summer whenever I heard the song or someone metions it I start hearing it playing in my head!! its so bad but so ing catchy.

GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!

I completely forgot about that doop thing, truely disgusting.
Scooter's quality speaks for itself tbh.

Starting the "microphone business" I've got one message for the next decade.
Move Your Ass!

All right posse!
Keep it up!
Hardcore!!!

In all fairness you did choose to omit the greatest line of Move Your Ass! which is:

'Its nice to be important but its more important to be nice!'

then it goes:

'POSSSSSSSEEEEEEEEEEE!! UUUUU KEEP THE SPIRIT ALIVE! COME ON! DOOF DOOF DOOF DOOF!'

That second bit isnt quite as good but scooter kicked all kinds of kung fu ass on that record in the first half - Waiting for Spring. Cosmos. Rhapsody in E.

Then it kinds of slides down into DJ shout outs and the abomination called 'Friends' but its saved by 'Raving in Mexico' which is hilariously off kilter. Any song that starts with a spastic MC going 'WE'RE GETTING FARSTER! THIS. IS THE *REAL* HARD. CORE!' has to be good god damn it.

The genius of Scooter on this album is realised in the last track, 'Faster Harder Scooter' where they start obviously looping crowd noises and Baxter's mongoloid MCing. Prior to that point the whole album is like a recorded live show. HAH!

BET YOU DIDNT THINK OF THAT, DID YOU HOLST?

Soundclips are forthcoming you ing cynical bastards.

I actually haven't heard that many tracks from the list, but The Macarena is a DREADFUL gimmick gabber track, despite being a gigantic pisstake (and a pretty funny one too).

Click here if you're feeling brave

Doop was prolly a "novelty" track when it first came out but my god, those charleston samples make me want to repeatedly stab my ears with a rusty breadknife.
