not sure if its better than sasha's mix but its quite nice and im pleased with it!

Well, just got through my first listen, and must say that I enjoyed it quite thoroughly.
Qualifying it as better or worse than Sasha's mix would be doing a disservice to both of you as I feel both remixes have their own personality and don't care to compare the two, but I think you did an excellent job with this tune P1 - I think it's a touch more dancefloor friendly than the previous versions, and it certainly will fit well with the style of some of the tunes I'm playing right now.
If I had any "criticism" to make of this tune, it's that perhaps it's a bit simplistic sounding at times, however I think the lush layering of sounds you used throughout the majority of the track combined with the solid initial build and the break/build around 3:40 are certainly enough to keep the listener entertained both at home and on the dance floor.
Nice work m8, overall I'd say 8/10! |

I agree on the notion that it cannot be compared to sashas mix since they are very different but let me say Wo-W! Very classy use of the "burma" sample. Kickdrum + bass sounds a little too weak atm but then again it might be my speakers that cant play too low freqs...
anyway I give you all the respect you deserve for remixing a rather popular track without destroying the original and maintaining an original touch at the same time.
PS: did you post this in here solely for feedback purposes or do you allow people to play this in their dj sets also? |
