Yet I still have not heard any of this in the mainstream media... interesting.
We are Winning!! |

I don't think the insurgency will last past this year if it makes it that long. I reckon it will crumble pretty quickly with Zaqawi gone, considering they made 7 arrests or whatever it was from the intelligence they got.
I know there was a bit of a splurge of violence, but that won't continue in my mind. |

Of course they're winning.
But this point:
| quote: |
* In their own words, "use the media for spreading an effective and creative image of the resistance." That is, exploit the prejudices of the Western media, the terrorists' last allies.
|
...will be the hardest to quell.
Liberal media miss the ole hay days of Vietnam and Watergate where questioning authority all the time made them look good.
They can't seem to move on from that however.
I'm not saying we shouldn't question anything but it's the old, "Whose watching the watchers" scenario.
Thanks to the Internet, people can at least get their news from other sources which now undermines the MSM; heaven forbid!
I haven't watch MSM news broadcasts for years because of their spin...
Let's give credit where credit is due.
The terrorists are getting their asses handed to them not just because of the foreign soldiers but because of the people of Iraq.
The more the Iraqis take control of their own destiny, the closer the foreign soldiers are to leaving; they know it, we know it.
But it's up to them to grab the reigns with the chance they've been given.
I wish the MSM would focus more on that fact than body counts.
There will always be tragedy in this world, but the MSM uses that to push an agenda that is in sync with the terrorists; it's what the terrorists want! |

You realized they went into Iraq BECAUSE of them harbouring terrorist camps / terrorists right?
That country was ed right after Saddam got a fat head and started pushing his luck outside his little despot empire.
It's never easy trying to fill a power void from a former dictator; everybody wants power.
The tribal system there just doesn't know how to handle democracy that's all.
No one said this was going to be easy... |

You have got to realize that democracy cannot work at some places in this world. You might not like to hear this but Iraq needs another dictator to keep everything under control.Same with Iran too,If they ever get a taste of democracy(American way that is) the place will turn into a zoo. |

| "Insurgets" = Militant extremists, terrorists, freedom fighters, and other forms resistance all lumped in to one term for obvious reasons. i.e. it's a pretty non-sensical propaganda term, like all propaganda terms meant to confuse or stop critical thinking. There is no war on terrorism. The US is a leading terrorist state. There's no way in hell such a candidate could possibly "wage a war on terrorism." How the do you wage war on an idea in the first place? Get it through your ing skulls. I'm not sure that would do much good for alot of you, since there's a vaccum in there to begin with. |
