In anticipation of his return to Aria later this week, I had a chance to interview Preach...
I hope to have his Aria 2003 promo mix up later this evening, but in the meantime the interview is featured on edmm.ca

Congrats Kate, great idea and finally something about techno!
Preach is the best im happy his hard work brought him to the top.
Oh and the Z3TA kicks ass and the Virus mod for it as well. |

| Don't worry ive known Mazen for a long time and I know that mofo works hard ;) . Im speaking DJ/Production Wise he has continued to improve and amaze me and ive gotten atleast 15 people to worship him :D |

I arrived on friday at around 2 and stayed until about 6, I was with some friends behind the booth area for the bulk of the night, sometimes on the couch. I had a good time! I had planned to bring some cds, but ended up bringing too much other junk for my pockets, like an Iriver I planned to record Phil's set with.. unfortunately didn't really have a chance to do that, next time hopefully :)
As for the column.. I am going to naturally try to focus on Montreal and techno artists that will be in town, but given the slow-ish bookings I am still going to take the opportunity to promote artists that deserve more recognition here.
The Pulse column for July will be featuring one of the DJs from Awakenings festival on July 1 keeping a gig diary of the event for me and hopefully taking some cool pics to share too! :toocool:
Also, finishing an interview with another techno DJ on tour in the US right now and a special promo set to share too! |
