I honestly, at the beginning at least meant this as a joke, the threats, theyweren'tt serious. I love TA. It has been a HUGE part of my life these last three years and I don't want to hurt it.
For those of you who were with me on Gabbly last night, I was mad and I was bluffing. After reading Jason's post in the :wtf : thread I had the impression that it was intentional and that my posts had been erased on purpose so I was irate and talking because I was pissed.

Neo PLEASE don't resign over this, I know I give you and Coup and some of the other mods a lot of crap and honestly Neo you have been the only one I really consider to be a fair mod who even though they have bias, they will not let that affect their judgement. This is partly why I was so hurt by your perceived actions and why I decided to lash out at the community as a whole.
I hope TA can forgive me for being such a jerk. Neo I forgive you as well for the mistake you made.
Oh and Chrissi, I am sorry I didn't listen to you this morning when you were defending Neo. You were right... odd huh? :p

Actually, this is something we could benefit from.
I speak Portuguese, and it uses hyphens in an interesting way. If I were to write the sentence "I told him I had seen her" in Portuguese, I'd hyphenate it so it'd look "(I) told-him that (I) had seen-her" (you can drop the pronoun). Although I know it looks like a random example, by joining the object and the verb that way, it makes comprehension even easier, showing that there's a link between the verb and whatever was affected by it.
In Philosophy, the hyphen is also used as an interesting way to avoid neologism and synthetising a concept into an expression: i.e. "thing-in-itself" rather than "thing in itself" shows more unity, the quasi-words status that should be given to that expression.
These are two examples that show how hyphens can help you. Naturally, it-would-be-stupid-to-hyphenate-everything, but this way of merging words can be benefical if used in moderation.
If anything, the hyphens in Idoru's post only made his thoughts clearer to understand. In fact, I thought your use of hyphens was even better, linking the modifying adjective to the modified noun. |
