I've got a mate who's selling his Roland MC-505 Groovebox for £200. Do any of you have one. What do you think of it and is it capable of producing a realistic (and phat) 303 sound.

there are better alternatives in your price range, like the MAM MB33 |

Have two of them....can vouch for that.
if all you want is the 303, then check them out.
the mcdonalds 505 wouldnt be my first choice. |

i've got a 505 and personally i wouldn't reccomend it, picked it up many years ago when i first got into production and to be honest i have not used it in years.

| IF you want a 303 for that money I'd get a X0Xbox or a future retro revolution. |

| you won't get a convincing 505 out of it in years, it's okay to start with and can sound okay in the mix but that's about it. |

| Just use ABL if you want a fat 303. That's the closest you'll get at less than what 505 costs. |
