simple rule to live by is dont do anything that would piss you of if your sig other did it.

interesting little thing happened to me this past christmas:
i was dating this girl; it had been maybe 2.5 months or something. one day, i woke up and was just like, crap, i can't do this anymore (a bunch of stuff started to bother me about her, and we didn't see eye to eye on a lot of things). problem was that we had exams in a week, and it was christmas break soon. so, i decided to wait until after break, because i didn't want her to be in a real bad emotional state for her exams/start of christmas (she was VERY emotionally dependent, another negative).
now we go back to our respective homes after exams, and i go out with my friends on new years. that's when the problem starts.
i started debating with my friends, asking would it be cheating at that point if i tried to hookup/go to a girl with intention for dating or something?
i thought, since she thought we were still in a relationship, and i hadn't broke up with her, it would still be considered cheating.
one of my friends said not at all, go crazy, you're planning on breaking up with her anyways.
i imagine most people think its all right at that point to go ahead and do whatever though, but then again, i have some pretty hardcore conservative relationship standards. |
