| Time and time again, Mexico he failing to score. Both teams seem to have equal dominance of the ball, but Mexico has had many chances to score (penalty kick:nervous: ). This game should be tied IMO. |

i agree, our exhibition was apart from the first 25 minutes. we didn't really deserve to win considering a 10-men Mexico managed to create several chances. but then again we missed Deco, Ronaldo, Pauleta, Costinha and Nuno Valente, so i'm hoping a bit of a better game against Holland/Argentina. |

| horrible game for mexico, they looked confused without borgetti on the field. Hopefully they'll pick it up into the next round. |

| looks like mexico will be the number 2 qualifier out of this group. mexico vs argentina could be an interesting matchup between the americas. |

This was a great game.
Portugal started out in a great tempo and scored when Simao passed to Maniche who shot the ball in the back of the net. It wasn't any good penalty though, but still, a goal is a goal.
Kikín scored for Mexico and they started playing well from the end of the first half until the end of the game. They had some great combinations and they could've easily scored a couple of goals in the second half on the million chances they had.
Omar Bravo underperformed, missed a important penalty and shot the ball out of the stadium a couple of times when it was clear chances to score. Kikín played great though, and he deserved to score that goal, had a lot of shooting chances and was moving good around on the field.
Mexico should've got a penalty later on in the game when Ferreira tackled a mexican, but didn't get it. I can get why they didn't get it because they were falling all the time, and giving two penalties in one game was probably to much for Michel who sucked btw.
Stupid red from the Mexican :(
Good win for Portugal even though they had all their booked players on the bench/stadium ;)
Portugal has a pretty complete team, but will they really make it through against Holland/Argentina? I certainly hope so. |

Yeah, it´s like a tradition now. It´s a shame that Bravo had such a bad day. As for missing the PK, is not a big deal. Others have missed, even Ronaldinho. It was a bad because it was in an important tournament and it could´ve given Mexico the tie.
I would comment more on this game but I think zoric summed it up quite well.
Talking about the Mexican performance as a whole, they are sucking. None of the games have convinced me. Even before the WC started I saw the squad getting a bit lazy.
Argentina is next. Mexico was taken out by them last year in that one tournament. Cambiasso made Ramon Morales bleed. It was a physical game. The Mexican side has enough motivation to go in and kick some ass and make Maradona cry one of those drugged tears. |
