sorry, but after living in the US for about 5 years now, i really do not like it anymore. Yes, it may be partially due to WHERE I live (Worcester, MA, the sh1th0le of the world), but it is also for some political reasons.
I got to say that Bush seems to have little clue wtf he is doing! He seems to try everything possible to go head-on with about every other nation in the world, partially ruining some great opportunities.
well.. there are many -more or less small things- that i dislike about the US and I am sure that I will get the heck out of here, once I am done with college.
Which is something i like about the USA. They are relatively cutting edge when it comes to education and that is great.
I would like to apologize to everyone, who loves the USA for my negative view of it, but someone asked for my oppinion and you got it |

i seriously also question this mans abilities. he did not always act properly and worthy for being the most powerful man on earth and the leader of the worlds only super power. i agree with litlitaly that it seemed like he had no idea of the world hierarchy. his politics of 'america first' where naive - it is not right to turn your back to the world.
but it's the president i don't like. i love america. the UN should try to follow them in their path. i believe it is important for the US to be the 'policeman of the world'. when the civil war in jugoslavia raged and people were slaughtered for years nobody (and certainly not the un) did anything about it. america stopped the war when they thought it got too much out of control. i certainly don't agree with the people saying that the 11th september attack was deserved because of the foreign politics of america.

I really like the USA...I have travelled to almost every state...spent time in cities and campsites...New York to LA and I'd have to say...Everywhere people are the nicest and friendly...cost of living is low...taxes are lower...greater Geographical diversity...world leading in technology and academics...yes there are bad parts mostly caused by certain policies that are not liberal as in Canada..but all in all...give em a break..people accuse the states of their "policing" ...but the rest of the world benefits extremely from this...it's not like the american military is repressing people in other countries and it's not like people are pointing guns at the heads of forein politicians to accept globalization and adopt a free society...cultural homogenization might seem bad...why? well it might seem sad to see a poor backward society..with it's own rituals and culture..now have McDonald's and Coke machines everywhere..but people now have money..democratic freedom..health care...infrastructure....etc...etc...the greatness that America brings to other countries is far outweighs the so called "bullying" and "policing" that people talk about...
..and by the way...I want to dispel the myths about Canada..you think Dubya is bad...has anyone seen or heard Jean Chretien? He can't speak..he's a joke..a national embarressment...I wish that clown would get outta there.. |

heheh, ya i like the u.s., they're quite friendly & very hospitable people
also has an interesting history as i found on our holiday...never knew much american history before. and it's a very diverse country...mainly 'cos it's so damn big...but even then there's so much variety in the land & people
well, only gripe i have about the u.s. is the food! hehe, maybe we just went to *all* the wrong places...but it's kinda tasteless i think...dunno maybe just get spoilt, but if i think the americans could learn anything is to make better food :D:D:D

Now, i'm one considerin the States a great country for many aspects but this is the attitude that makes this country blind to other cultures leadin to enemies growth. Naturally no country is perfect but every country deserves the same respect as long as it doesn't break human society laws. Sure usa is a super power, no doubt, but it should be so to lead other countries not to impose its lifestyle and stuff in a dictatorial way.
Let's hope that wisdom will continue to prevail over strenght demonstration. |

Ill put up a nice american statement. We are the best. We have money. We have power. we dont learn other languages because everyone learns ours. Heck, half the world speaks it better than a lot of americans do! If your culture was so great why are people givin it up for ours (hehe ok thats probably not fair) our music rocks and we dont take in other stuff because the rest of the world seems to be stuck in our 80s decade EEEK. even kylie minogues song which is great is so ...euro 80s. Our nation was founded on the fact that we whooped on other people. Japan said it the best "If we attack America I fear we will wake a sleeping giant". yeah that was true. ok ok so some of our policies suck...what are you gonna do bout it hahahaha. I went to Canada on a road trip with a whole bunch of people and we felt so...superior. I dont know what it is. I like Canadians better than Americans, but its still like wow America rocks. You live in America it all about freedom, technology, and the will to go on. I dunno America is so great. In My Humble Opinion we should take over the world. Or at least conquer them all and let them practice their rituals on certain days.
(This is been a joke for the most part. I do believe America is great. really great. But im always fascinated knowing whether it is that people hate America, or hate the fact that they dont live there) |

America uses more of the worlds resources than the REST OF THE WORLD PUT TOGETHER. I also read in the paper that Manhatten generates more waste in 1 week than London does in a WHOLE YEAR.

Because of the image of wealth that Americanism projects; it appeals to people. Humans want wealth, American culture projects an image of wealth for all, thus other countries (particularly) poorer 1s look up to America. However they fail to see the bad side of American culture with global giants exploiting people, the worst divides between rich & poor in the world and a belief that we can just keep growing and growing making more money and we'll never run out of resources.

Ur music rocks!? WTF Even if u weren't in a trance forum I fail 2 c how it rocks! Name ne American trance producer than can better all other trance producers; lets face it the majority of the best trance producers are in Europe. However, trance aside, u do produce some good music but I don't think it is much better than that produced in other areas of the world. Not taking in other stuff is not something to be proud of either; it's good to have a mix of different music styles etc.

Whooping other people is nothing to be proud of... Explain to me how killing people is a good thing...

If american continues its policy of acting in isolation not caring about the rest of the world then it will have ing problems. What are we going to do about it? Events such as September 11th, which many see as not just an attack on America, have shown us all that we can't defend ourselves against EVERYTHING. Any country with a nuke could destroy the whole world, if not the majority of it if it chose to.

What the makes you better? NO ONE in this world is better than anyone else, we are all equals.

It's not because they don't live there, it's not the people they hate, it's Americanism they hate. Your post is a classic example of why people dislike America.
Also, i'd just like to say, when people say they hate America they don't really mean they hate the whole of the country and its people. What they mean is they dislike some aspects of American culture, not the people, or the country. Anyway thats how I see things; I have American friends, I like the country, I like the people, I don't like certain aspects of American 'foreign policy' and its culture.
Finally, it's not like America is the giant evil in the world and everyone else is all perfect. There are problems with every country in the world, the UK has its fair share of them 2. America does seem to be subject to quite a lot of criticism, prehaps thats due to their position as one of the worlds leading powers (not THE super power, not better than anyone else, but nevertheless a powerful country) putting them in the spotlight, or maybe it's because 'Americanism' is spreading. |

whats your point with that statement???...Manhattan is more populated then London so of course there would be more waste...in a house with 4 people u will have more waste then in a house of just 1..thats just COMMON SENSE.

Well America projects OPPURTUNITY, more over then other countries, to become wealthy from nothing...thats why they may look up to us. EVERY country has gloabal giants that exploit people and every country is divided between the rich and the poor...thats more COMMON SENSE

he never said killing people...he meant that if anyone tests Americas resolve in warfare that we will show the world we will not stand for it and will fight with extremes...as would any country

well noone, not even America can defend against a blind-sided attack such as the cowardly attacks of September 11th....and not for nothing but the terrorists couldnt even attack us taht good when u REALLY think about it...the survival rate of September 11th was around 93% of the people targeted that day..thats a better rate the heart disease and most any other disease..so it goes to show u that America may not of been prepared but we sure withstood it with a superb survival rate....
