recording jp8000 question!

im using audiophile 2496 as my soundcard and i have my jp8000 recording into my sequencer through this although the sound quality is . anyone know what the problem is?

my guess is you're clipping, turn down the input volume. |

i did this although when i turn down the volume a slight bit its very low and you cant hear it with the other sounds. the other sounds are already quite low as it is.
its the same when i have my decks playing through this. it sounds distorted or like its clipping. might be to do with the soundcard. |

It's probably clipping, lower it and lower everthing else in the track by 8db to make it even. |

record your part as the audio at a level that sounds ok. then gain your audio part until it is loud enough.. this works for me:) |
