While it's sure big brother-ish, it's also their equipment.
It's not the customer's right to own a cell phone.
It's no different than when you send emails using your corporate email address; the information belongs to the corporation you work for.

You may arguement that as consumers we pay for the service and shouldn't be subjected to such a thing, but the reality is, we as consumers pay for the privilege of using their infastructure.

We take these things for granted and wonder why we're 'shocked' when such legislation comes down.
It just comes down to realizing the relationship. :)

Jayx1 is like our prophet. He's being scolded by the very same audience he is prophesizing to. The only thing left for him to so is die for our sins.

I disagree. This is exactly the same kind of attitude the Republicans have towards anyone who opposes them and their "war on terror". Not supporting the government's action is fully within the rights of every individual in the country (at least for as long as we have a democracy), and does not make them a traitor.

Whoa... What's this thread all about anyways? I may not always agree with Jay's views, and he knows that, but I respect him, because he not only feels strongly about what he believes in, he's actually doing something about it in his community and politics.

Canada IS my homeland :)

We have a pretty good place that is being eroded away by selfishness and materialism.

Canada was a really good place. It still is in many ways but many of the things that have made canada a great place are being eroded very quickly with inane laws and selfish attitudes.
