So who ended up showing up to see Sydney Blu and David Morales rock it out on centre stage @ PriDe?????
I got there to hear Sydney Blu playing some sick track.. she had alot of nrg!! Good to see her rocking it out!! By the time we had parked, walked to the venue, and waited in line to get in, I only got to see the last 10-15 minutes of her set.. boo hoo :(... all I remember is Queen--- Another One Bites The Dust..?.. lol..
David Morales then went on at 9ish and was great as usual! He was very similar to the first time I saw him @ Sonic, although I wish he played longer, but you could tell he was tired. He played an REM remix which I thought was SICK... he always manages to floor me.. he had some low points in his set at the beginning, but then managed to pick it up with his usual choonage.. played alot of his signatures.. ie.. How Would You Feel?... I also heard one song that I swear I was surprised to hear him playing...Ame- Rej!?!?...
Which was cool was that I got 2 meet him after his set and spoke to him for a few minutes, hes a really nice guy. Morales told me I better be @ Sonic 2nite.. lol..
I will tryyy to go but I have my friends birthday first... anyone thinkin of going to Peep Show???
For my first Pride event I have to say it was so much fun... Sydney Blu and Morales rocked this one.. it was something different to dance outside with a bunch of awesome peeps.. :)...
nice seeing cribby there.. met few new peeps...Bobby and Arnold nice guys (not Tas I dont think??) we got into talking about how good Stereo in Montreal is.. (im dying to check it out there!!)...
now here are some pics, and a vid of Morales from the night (note I didnt take many):

I actually noticed he played REJ just briefly as well.
but the rest of his set was so cheese! just a selection of some of the cheesiest house tracks of the last 5-10 years.
I definitely give props to him for what he has done in his career but I really do not enjoy his music or how self indulgent he is as a DJ...
Anyhow, I was there because it was the place to be last night, and I had a good time til they booted us out promptly at 11. Nice to see some TAs :) |

He did play alot of classic house choons... I enjoyed some of them.. others didnt really get my groove on that much but I still enjoyed it none the less...like I said b4.. I wish they played a little longer.. but oh well...for what it was I cant complain at all.. it was a great party..it was free... and a great treat for everyone, for David to play @ Pride was just awesome of him (I think) to show his support to the community was the most important regardless if he played good or not :)... |
