OMG.

So today I was having problems updating my ipod. It wasnt being detected by my computer. Sites suggested to repair/update itunes. I did that - no change. Suggested to update ipod. I downloaded the ipod update. Keep in mind I haven't done any updates on my Ipod since like, December 04. It was working fine, why update. Seriously. So now came the time where it wasn't working fine... so I run the update - 46MB download... have no idea what its gonna do. It says you must reboot your computer. And, I did. And, I now CANNOT START UP MY COMPUTER. IT WILL NOT BOOT. It powers up but no video, I cannot remote to it, nothing. I mean, I can't even get into my BIOS!!!!! NOTHING!!!!!! This is my main multimedia computer. Thankfully I have a couple of other machines but this was my primary computer.

I AM GOING TO DRIVE TO CUPERTINO AND STRANGLE STEVE JOBS. THANKS, APPLE. What a piece of CRAP!!

I think this is Steve Jobs subtle way of getting public to buy Macs.... NICE! I am SO MAD RIGHT NOW.

IPODS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is a much deeper issue. it affected my computer at the HARDWARE level!! It's not the first time I have seen such behavior with my ipod though - before, if I kept my ipod "docked" and tried to reboot, the computer won't boot. But now, it won't boot at all - I can't even get into the BIOS! THat is a VERY SERIOUS problem. I think the only option is buying a new hard drive and rebuilding my whole computer. $$ and time down the drain. NICE. Thanks Apple. And even after I put in the new hard drive, I don't know if it will work. It might have FRIED my computer. what a f'in PIECE OF !!!!!! :whip:

i was never an apple fan... but usually just because of personal ignorance and other cynicisms - read: unfounded hate. But THIS... this is cause for war. Apple = crap. I will never touch or talk about another Apple product again. However, I have to be a hypocrite and continue to use my ipod because i have a lot of choonage on it. And, IT still works. But it is not my fav mp3 player... its small and I like that. Taking it to LA. Thankfully it didnt kill my ipod - only my computer that has like 200gb of data on it. thankfully that data is on a separate drive :)
