Rabobank ordered Freire to let Popovych win, so Discovery will help Rabo team in les Alpes. Making friends in the peloton.

yes i expect some actions in les alpes !but btw it's shame this year the stars of the peloton are gone ....but well they were cheating !

That Canada/Kessler/Verbrugghe crash was a bit speccy:eyes:

The way they just went over that crash barrier:eek:

We'll see if Pereiro keeps the yellow. He won the Classique des Alpes in 2004, so he knows the alpine mountains.

Landis retakes the lead (by 10 seconds over Pereiro) after the Stage 15 finish at l'Alpe d'Huez

There are 7 riders within 3 minutes of the lead, something we haven't seen at this juncture of the Tour in a while

What a stage :eyes:

Incredible ride by Rasmussen. I don't remember seeing anything like that since the days of Virenque.

Landis must be disappointed with his team. With the kind of budget that Phonak has, you'd think they'd be able to put together a better team for the mountains.

I'll be watching tomorrow for sure :D

One of the best stages of the last years. All the big riders attacking, a very interesting day since km 1.

wow, Landis is back in it after winning stage 17!
made up 7 minutes, now just 30 seconds behind the lead

sure will be a very interesting time trial on Saturday

There's a diary from Bobby Julich on ESPN where he calls Landis' day one of the best ever. What a comeback the day after he fell so badly back. Lots of determination!

U.S.A! :D

Very bad CSC and T-Mobile directors for letting go Landis so much... Morons.

there's probably no one but Landis who thought he could keep up such a lead for so long, with all the climbs

looks like Leipheimer tried for a win in Stage 18, but he wasn't able to stay in front

I think the GC after the time trial will be:
1. Landis - he'll deliver a TT ride to remember
2. Sastre
3. Kloden
4. Pereiro
5. Evans (missing 4th by a few seconds)

let's hope Rasmussen has a better final TT than he did last year :p

also, apparently T-Mobile has dropped Ullrich, and he claims that he was informed of this by fax
partyhopper
too bad Landis loses teammate Robbie Hunter, as he finished 18:09 behind Honchar (and possibly more to whoever wins the stage), and will be eliminated
