Ok, So Saturday I was down in Tampa visiting Ginger. We went out for sushi and then hit up this place called Hyde Park Cafe. To my complete surprise, we happened to go on the same night that Josh Wink was playing. The opening DJ sucked. Lots of really crappy breaks, but the vibe totally changed as soon as Josh hit the decks. It was house, just straight up HOUSE. Some was funky, some was proggy, it was ALL GOOD. I had never heard Josh Wink before (live or otherwise) but i was very impressed with this guy's style. Couldnt ID a single track, but there were a couple that I had to look around and go "damn, this is hot."
The club was packed, I couldnt find a single place to stand where i wasnt being bumped into every 30 seconds. It was hot and sweaty, but lots of beautiful people runnin around. All in all, it was a good night. Was anyone else there? |

He also finished with Higher State of Consciousness...which was a big suprise.
And the DJ opening for him was Three and he by no means sucks, not sure what you were listening to. |
