CANADA DAY!!!
YAAAAAYYY.
It's Canada's birthday this Saturday July 1st! I don't run into too many Canadian while her ein Sydney, but I did manage to find "Cheers" bar hosting the Stanley Cup finals and found heaps of Canadians localling in Sydney. A mass group email went out to close to 100 Canadian hockey fans to come and enjoy the festivities on our special day!

So here's teh details for anyone wanting to coem and see how we Candians do it, and have agood piss-upwith some long sought after CANADIAN BEER (Kokanee)!! YAAAY
If anyone is gonna come down, get in touch with me or just head on down and meet soem of the coolest travellers in Sydney

The Victoria Cross Bar

60 Miller St. North Sydney.?(Right across form the Heritage McDonalds building).?Take the North Sydney Train stop and walk out to Pacific Highway.?You can?/font>t miss it as it will have the Mounties and all.

They brought in some real old time goodies from Canada:

Motts Clamato (regular and Xtra Spicy) (I reserved a few bottles for myself)

Canadian Beef ?/font> Not sure what the difference would be
Reeces Peanut Butter cups (mini?/font>s)

Nanaimo Bars

Kokanee Beer

And more surprises

There will be a pancake breakfast at 10am to kick off the day and Horses and Huskies with a couple of Mounties (if anyone is on the run avoid this meeting).

It will go on until later that night when at 9pm the Mounties do the ?/font>Full Mounty?/font> and bare more than I wish to picture in my mind.

Hope you all can join us there.

BTW - You Aussies need to learn how to pronounce that if your going to this thing. Its a requirement at the door.
No 'cakes and Kokanee for you unless you say it.

Practice it at home..GIV-ER!

Kokanee's been readily available in NSW for a good 3 or so years. I first heard about it before I went over to Canada, and figured it was just a gimmick. It was a nice surprise when I went across to find it readily available in Canada too.

I'd rather they had Blanche De Chambly rather than Kokanee. Then again, at least it isn't Labatt ;)

Or some Moosehead. I wouldn't mind some Okanagan Spring stuff either.

Funnily enough, you can get Blanche De Chambly in Adelaide I think.

See, I found those Keith's ads kinda weird. The old guy's a bit too crazy.

Although I never drank it, I still reckon Coor's Light had the best ads. The Rickard's Red one, with all the monks singing was pretty funny too. There's this one dude in it that makes this hilarious face when the chorus kicks in. Couldn't stop laughing every time it came on.
