Yeah, but I speak about Aragones' words intention: motivate his player. He wasn't polite, for sure, but those words doesn't mean that his a racist.

Eto'o, who considers Aragonés his grandpa, defended him very hard, but for sure that yellow press didn't show that. Luis is on football world since the 60's, and has good friends of any race (mainly africans and south american 'mulatos').

But that's history, now.

What annoyed me about the spanish team, is that after the 2-1 they didn't have any reaction, neither for better or for worse. They didn't show any particular will to make a comeback, neither looked frustrated.

It looked like they put the same effort as in your average midseason round of La Liga, you're playing for your country ffs. They didn't even seem sad at the end of the game, it was all "well yeah we lost but who cares there's a new season coming up in august". :conf:

Ehh, I think France is gonna win in the end, 1-0 France my prediction.

Spain lacks IMO that cold blood when is needed the most, specially on incredibly huge games like this. Call me crazy but this is what I think will happen tomorrow, they will crumble to pressure and France playing ugly will take it.

I do hope I'm wrong because I'm rooting for Spain, but watching Raul in the lineup... I do not understand that move, I must be missing something who knows... Let's just hope I'm wrong and Spain takes the win tomorrow.

Pretty much that sums it up... France's physical game was just too much for Spain, Makelele and Vieira were just amazing and Ribery and company made the rest. Huge game for Sagnol too. In the end, France isn't playing pretty football, but it's very effective and they're too solid at defense and that's exactly what you need to win the WC.

I still believe in my mind France are capable of beating Brazil.

I did want Spain to win, but their team lacks that final punch when it comes to big competitions. France already knew what it feels like playing tight and pressure games, whereas Spain still lacks that experience.

Raul proved once again he's burned and done, Aragones removing Villa off the pitch, I didn't understand that one. Torres was too scared and everyone could see it on his face, poor kid was about to melt down at the pitch... it's not the same beating the crap out of Ukraine on first round than to actually score vs a classic team such as France. That pretty much killed Spain today, just being in front of France's jersey was too much for them.
