i think that would have to depend on the efficency of the setup, it's a new venue, so makes it hard to call. There's been some major parties with major waits untill the early morning (4-5am), and I've been to others where you were able to get in quickly. It's all going to depend on how they set it up, and how much searching they're doing. I don't see as many people using coat check, so should be quicker then winter parties. Just my 2 sense about it....

best time to show up.. longest lineups at those times though..

past 4am, there's usually no lineup.. but sometimes you can be surprised..

In the past I always tryed to show up at parties at about 11-12pm, and stick there until 7-8am, but I find something the best music these days is in the morning.. (like hell ye'old 3-5 stop is now warmup spot hah).. so 1-2am - 9-10am is good).. (just remember to rest a bit, or else you'll never match up to Montrealers, unless you do alot of speed)

damn it sucks that PVD is only 2.5 hours
Jazz
Definitely... I don't understand why they would book him for less than 3 hours, which is usually the minimum... I say knock half an hour off of Deep Dish's set and give it to PVD...

i know, why why oh why only a 2 1/2 hr. set???--being from Boston, im used to short sets(all clubs close at 2am) but this is Montreal!-its bal en Blanc!-its all night/morning/day long!!-he's the headliner!! there are no time restraints whatsoever!!---SO WHAT GIVES?!??!?
if i had known this before, i woulda went to the NYC show-- they are getting 6 hours :sadgreen:

Question for all the montreal ppl... is Bal en blanc considered to be a gay party? How does the crowd compare to a regular 514 party?
