I know many of you don't have Rapture, but I thought I would post some sound programs I have done (about 31 of them). I have learned so much from this community, I thought it was the least I could do. Some are cheesy; some are cool.

Hey man, I just PMed ya about your rapture programs. I see you put them up here, cool. Disreguard the PM then. I just hope these will load into the demo.

I loaded your programs into the demo, you got some good sounds out of this thing. There's several of them I particularly like, and would probably use in productions. I'm still clueless on how to tweak some of the sounds, I mean this is the most unfriendly VSTi I've ever seen for tweaking. I can't even figure out how to set the attack on that swoosh sound you created. Ah well, if I end up buying Rapture I guess I'll have to read the manual. It seems to me this is a synth geared more toward sound designers.

I think the problem with Rapture and tweaking is the learning curve associated with it. However, once you learn it, there is virtually nothing it cannot do. Although I'm not a huge fan of the presets either (some are great though), I have learned quite a bit from reverse engineering them.
On the swoosh sound, just go to the AMP (amplitude) of both element 1 and 2, enable the EG (envelope generator) and create an ascending curve to raise the volume over time (probably a short time for this case).
Here is the modified program I created for the Swoosh. Feel free to mess with it to your liking:
Swoosh Attack Modification.prog <==-- CLICK
Here is the curve I was referring to on the Amplitude. Remember, you have to do this for both elements since both elements 1 and 2 are being used.

Ah I see, it's amplitude, I was looking in the wrong place. I still couldn't get what I wanted though, which is a very slow attack where the swoosh rises slowly. The typical Trance intro swoosh type of thing.

Just mess with different filters and set a slowly rising curve or something - start out with a LP filter.

The presets sound lovely! I especially liked Beating forest 1, it was a very fluid and living pad :)

Thanks! I started my song called Beating Forest off with that patch. It reminded me of echos one may hear in some magical forest or something. |

I was on a Rapture program creation endeavor yesterday. I created one that I am really proud of :D
Here is an MP3 of a sequence I played using it:

Here is the Rapture program itself. Don't forget to play with the mod wheel when using this program:
CLICK - Trance Gate 9 (mw).prog
Let me know what you think of the sound.

I just created a more organized list of my programs with instructions on where to install them. See the 'Read Me.txt' file.
I removed some of the programs I thought were lame. There are also a few more programs added since my first post.
You can download the Rapture programs HERE
I hope you enjoy.
