Now im officially unemployed. I quit working for my dad officially last friday. The cheap still owes me alot of money while he & my mom go on vacations every other week. ing jagbag. I got alot less stress, since he does business like its 1975. Hes a total dinosaur. Now put my resume up on monster & already got a bunch of nice hits. woot
So lets hear it for the unemployed!!!! :p |

well when your a Part Time Instructor, no pay on summers. Associate and full Profs get the option of getting paid on a 12 month or 9 month period. |

Alot ing better than monster imo.
I know whatever job im gonna get is only gonna be temporary, cause im gonna end up working for my dad again.:( But he wants to retire, so theres some light down the tunnel. |

That was my dads store that i ran, cause he was running his window/door store it was all me. Things were going great. Our sales were up over 100%+ with the new store opening. We got 1.5% more of a discount with the manufacturer Merillat. I had Wells Fargo set up so we could get customers finaced on thier remodeling job. I also had a plan to start doing instalations & had the carpenters just about ready to work. If we would have done that our gross would have gone up a minimum 20% & our profit margin would have gone up 5-10%. Even had plans to do a big Open House event this summer. I had the whole business plan layed out for my dad & the things he had to take care. It all came down to him croissing the T's & dotting the I's. Well my Dad was basically brushing it all off. Never followed through with anything. Thats how hes always been. hes a very hard worker, but he works like its 1975 & not 2006. Thats how he has always ran his other shop & has done well but can never take it to the next level. This store was supposed to take things to the next level. But i think he got overlwelmed with everything & kinda just said it. Plus hes so damn cheap & hates turning commision over to people once he deposits the customers money in his account. So i basically told him to off & i will prolly be back, but ill let him deal with everything for a while. |
