A Ghost In Reve
Just wanted to give this a bump... If anyone has any more suggestions, I'd love to hear them. I went and got almost everything listed so far, and I love all of it. Chicane was an excellent suggestion, I got all of his albums, and am in love. I need more!

I have always enjoyed:

Accadia - Blind Visions
Accadia - Into The Dawn

There are ambient mixes of these on the Chilled Euphoria series mixed by Red Jerry, and they are some of my favorite mixes of all time.

Check them out on www.beatport.com or www.audiojelly.com as well.

Actually they are just at AudioJelly...would be cool if they were at BeatPort though...it's cheaper, esp in the US.

Giving this another bump. It's been some time since my last one. Again, I'd like to say thanks for all the great suggestions, but I want more! So far, Chicane has been all I'm listening to, in specific these songs:

The Drive Home, Sunstroke (Original), Locking Down, Spirit, and No Ordinary Morning. All are soothing (to me) and I pretty much love everything of Chicane's. Is he releasing another album any time soon, or have any new songs, soothing ones or not, surfaced?

I am looking for more artists like Chicane. His music is absolutely beautiful and soothing to me. While listening, I can just relax and be at peace. Sounds like the perfect stuff to listen to while sitting on the beach, or just whatever your idea of paradise is. Haha, sorry if this is a little cheesy, it's kinda late. But yea, anything else like Chicane is appreciated, and to that end, any other suggestions for soothing music I would love. Halcyon by Orbital is still my most favorite song, absolute perfection. One Perfect Sunrise comes close though.

So please, suggest more!

Try to find some "Mystic Force" tracks! Mystic Force - Mystic Force is one track I can listen all the time and never get bored. Starbust is also worth checking, beatiful music. I think "Spiritualist" would be a good choice aswell, Bright White Light & Age Of White are awesome! :)

And again i'm gonna suggest these amazing albums(LPs)...

Ulrich Schnauss- "Far Away Trains Passing-By"
Ulrich Schnauss- "A Strangely Isolated Place"
Amethystium- "Odonata"
Bola- "Soup"
Arovane- "Lilies"
Mythos- "Mythos"
Orbital- "In Sides"
Steve Roach- "Structures from Silence"
Brian Eno- "Ambient-2:The Plateux of Mirror"
Brian Eno- "Ambient-3:Day of Radiance"
Global Communications- "76:14"
Salt Tank-"ST7:Science and Nature" (Oh and make sure that you listen to "eugina (pacific diva)" and "eugina (sargasso sea)")
Boards of Canada- "The Campfire Headphase"
Vangelis- "Opera Sauvage"

And to get more adventurous...
Slowdive- "Just For A Day"
(Well, this is "shoegazer", but ulrich schnauss is A fan and it is a great ethereal album anyway)

Sigur Ros- "( )" (this is classified as "post-rock" that is post-modern rock. What is post-modern rock?Rock that is not rock actually! In the present case we get ethereal dark and melancholic ambience played by a group of conventional rock musicians. Highlight the haunting electric cello of the aalto singer. Strange and haunting music.

M83- "Before The Dawn Heals Us" (i absolutely love this)

Labradford- "A Stable Reference"
speedfamgirl
how about Schiller?

Cloud
planet funk - inside all the people (harvey's sleepy ibiza mix)
