Thats not downtown.. You will be working like 2 blocks away from where I work.. As far as rent goes you will be finding places for like maybe 800 - 1000 for one room. Personally 700 will be hard to find. Pinecrest may be alittle to far as far as traffic goes if you working in that area and downtown I think may be worst you have to look by Flager or Fontainebleau BLVD. |

| The pinecrest option shouldn't be dismissed out of hand. The metro rail ends right smack in pinecrest (well, across the highway technically) and goes right downtown. My dad walks and takes the rail to work every day, never drives. Plus the area is totally safe for your bike; crime is virtually nonexistant. |
