Anyway, I can't be arsed to write another review, so here's mine from the Montreal Forum:
2010 here we come :tongue2 |
I totally agree, it was sad :(, also lol at the zidane laughing at the ronaldos :stongue:
I think Perreira should've fuken subbed cafu and kaka way earlier, they werent doing nothing. he should of sat ronaldinho for playing such games too. ronaldo at least did something even if it wasnt a stellar performance. I think they had a way better game with cicinho and robinho in the field. Dumb coaches did so much damage for brazil and argentina :clown: Oh well, andiamo azzurri, forza italia!:toothless |

I heard all those quarter finals on the radio....and now im coming back to see all my most hated teams in the final.
I truly do respect Germany for their performance this cup and will be hoping they win. I shed soo many tears this weekend, its not even funny. Brazil played like and I hope France goes to the finals, their level of play has grown with every game.
go germany
and
go france... |

Honestly, Brazil deserved to lose much worse than they did, and earlier than they did. Anyone following my posts in the Sports forum knows how pissed I am about their crap display during this entire World Cup. Today especially, they deserved to lose, fair and square. Everyone was . Their strategy, if they had one at all, was . But Perreira, especially, was . He needs to be hung from his balls. I hope this teaches the CBF NOT to hire coaches that want to play wannabee European football and stick with coaches that push Brazilian style football, not the that they were trying to pass for football today. One STRIKER????????? ONE STRIKER?????????????? FAT RONALDO WAS ALONE UP FRONT AND YOU EXPECT THEM TO WIN???????????????? WHAT PLANET ARE YOU FROM?????? He should be shot for not sticking with the Japan line-up and playing Robinho with Ronaldo. IDIOT!!!!
Anyway, I could go on forever, but there's no point. Congrats to France for playing an amazing game. Zidane is still the best player in the world although he's 34. He was simply out of this world today. I couldn't believe how effortless his movements were and how brilliantly creative he was on the pitch today. Ronaldinho can learn a thing or two from this man. I'm jumping on the French bandwagon just because I want to see this man win another one. What a great player. Nothing more to say about that.
Malek and Jay: make sure you both shave yor bathing suit areas cause I only lick smooth nuts Oh, and Tag, stfu. You know nothing about football so I don't want to hear a peep out of you. Go play with your bicycle on top of a mountain |
Well said.
Honestly, what is so ing shocking about this? Brazil wasn't playing on top form. After seeing them play against Japan and Ghana, I thought they were just taking it easy in their first two games, but their game against France simply proved that they simply are not in top form in this cup. France was not playing that well either at first, but in their last two games they have made a huge turnaround. France played better and deserved to win. What is so shocking about that?
Get over it people. This is the mothering World Cup, if you don't bring your A game you will lose. Especially in the Quarter Final. Brazil isn't dead, football isn't dead. Hell, France won in 98, then came in dead last in 2002, and is now in the Semi-Final with an honestly good shot of winning the whole cup. It goes to show you what can happen in this game. |

| Just watched the Brazil vs France game (wasn't home all weekend). The better team definitely won that game. There were no controversial calls, not a lot of major mistakes by the refs, nothing. It was simply a much better team beating a mediocre Brazil. The French were much more effective, Zidane had a great game, their defence and midfield were extremly good at shutting down an already lacking Brazil. Dissapointing at the way Brazil played (not that surprising after seeing their first few games). Sloppy passes, horrible defensive mistake on the goal wtf (was Carlos doing), almost no crosses, runs that ended in nothing. Brazil did not deserve to win that one. Heart-breaking as a Brazil fan but I'm sure they'll be back as the old generation give way to the new one. Congratulations France. I'd like to see a Germany vs France final. |

| quote: | RIO DE JANEIRO, July 4: Angry Brazilian football fans have destroyed a seven-metre tall statue of World Player of the Year Ronaldinho following the national team's World Cup quarter-final exit at the hands of France.
The statue, made out of resin and iron, in the southern town of Chapeco in Santa Catarina state, was burnt in the night of Saturday to Sunday, after the Selecao's 1-0 defeat to Les Bleus, according to the local mayor's spokesperson.
"All that's left is a burnt out metal skeleton of a statue," the source said.
The monument, depicting Ronaldinho with a ball, was inaugurated two years ago to celebrate the player's first World Footballer of the Year award in 2004.
The Barcelona forward, who is from the neighbouring Rio Grande do Sul state, was a major disappointment for Brazil during the tournament, failing to shine as he had done all season in his club's colours. |

| Some brazilian fans are so used to winning that they don't know at all how to lose. It's sad. |
