I was out sailing at a beach all day yesterday, and suddenly the sky turned pitch black and it started to rain extremely hard, along with lots of thunder and lightning. My friends and I had nowhere to go, and the lightning was VERY close to us. So we ran into someone's tent, but it ended up getting drenched with rain, and branches were falling on it. So we just stood under a tarp (which didn't help us stay dry) and waited for someone to pick us up. By like 8:30, the car finally arrived and I got home...only to find that all the power was out in my town!!! uuugh!
but I still love storms. they are amazing! I enjoy sitting outside and watching them. |

| That was an awe-inspiring storm last night. Lightning struck down all around. Saw a couple of ambulances. Hope no one was hurt. Seeing nature rage like that always gives me a rush. |

I didnt need environment canada... I had environment RJ, telling me to hide in the fire escape stairwell and that i shouldnt drive....
scaring the out of me, meanwhile i take 20 mins less than norm to get ot niagara and its gorgeous and sunny the whole way... |
