This was a mix I did in April. I haven't really touched my turntables since but I thought I should share it out today.
I know the beatmatching is off on some of the mixes (the mixing into the last song is so bad its unbelievable) however some are not that bad.
Keep in mind I have only been doing this for less than a year, and maybe once a week at most.

Some transitions are very rough.. the mp3 skips alot in the begining, but the track selection is very nice
I enjoyed the second half the most. |

Thanks. Yeah I know some of transitions are horrible. I am thinking of doing it again and hopefully it will be better... |

Listening now...
Recording at the beginning sounds like its skips abit?? or is that just my computer?
1st transistion is a really rough, incoming track was too slow by the sounds of it.. EQing could use some work as you lost some energy at the bassline swap.
2nd transistion. Sounded nice and smooth. tracks go together well. Great sounding vibe so far.
3rd transistion. Sounded fine, fairly quick. Set sounds to be building up nicely with this track choice..
4th transistion. Another fairly good transistion. energy level stayed where it needed to at this point in the set.. Would like to here some type of experimentation with effects, or loops, or sample, or something that could give it an edgy sound..
5th transistion. Kind of rough, but you were able to pull it back into shape. Great track choice...
6th transistion. Very rough transistion, didn't even sound like you were trying to save it? Set lost alot of energy. Kind of get the feeling the last tune was just added on..
Tracklisting: 9/10
Mixing: 6/10
Flow: 7/10
Experimentation: N/A
Could use some work on the future version if you plan to redo this set with the same tunes. I recommend just starting fresh.. I don't find that replaying a set you've already done to be the best thing to do, atleast in my past experience. I enjoyed to tracks used.
Thanks for the listen.
Cheers :) |

I guess I must really suck because I tried pretty hard to correct it. I think I dropped it to late, or rather I should have cued up at the acual starting beat.
Thanks for your input. I am glad you like the tracklist!
Keep in mind I have maybe been on my turntables about 30-40 times (all less than 2 hours each time). |

1) I don't have any cdjs
2) My mixer is a basic Numark DXM01
3) Don't have a sampler
4) Don't have effects
But if I ever get a better mixer I will sure do something like that. |
