Ok not quite "met", but watched for a good 20 mins in our (one of 10) local London pubs.

The whole incident is actually so shocking and surreal that it's normalizing in a sense. EVERYDAY LONDON INSANITY. The guy was so completely ed off his head, and he looked like he hadn't slept in a week.
He was all over the place... dancing, walking into things, etc.
He brought the term "botched" to another level... all those so-called "professional sketchbags" around these parts need to bow down to the King... how buddy s Kate Moss in beyond me. HATS OFF.
And no I didn't get any pictures, only memories baby. :)

13 August - Doherty was stopped in the airport customs at Oslo Gardermoen Airport, where customs officers found him to be in possession of a small amount of heroin. His band was originally booked to play at the Oslo-festival Øyafestivalen at 5:05 PM, but he remained in custody for three hours. He was released when the organisers of the festival paid the fine of 8000 NOK (693.118 GBP). When the band appeared onstage later than scheduled, Doherty was sick, and vomited after 20 minutes. He threw out a bottle of Vodka to the audience, and showed them his empty cigarette package, followed by the crowd throwing cigarettes to him. Because of the electricity being shut down at 11 pm, they couldn't play for more than 30 minutes. |

That's nuts!! If I saw him I'd probably ask him for his autograph b/c he'd be like a celebrity. I'm a loser like that though.
That would have been a total trip to see. Glad you had...fun...haha

the English frown on this big time... especially in a North London pub, he's there to chill out, get ed with mates. Taking pictures and getting autographs would have probably gotten me kicked out.
Ironic how decorum is reversed. |
