I wasn't sure where to post this so I figured I'll throw it out to the c0r since this is the highest traffic forum here...
Does anyone have experience with consumer recorder equipment suitable for set recordings? I've been toying with the idea of investing a couple hundred bucks in a nice digital recorder but don't really have many ideas where to start. Minidisc is really meh; I had one WAY back in the day and was never very happy with sound quality.
Any ideas? Budget is like..up to ~$300 maybe, preferably a bit less. Doesn't have to be phenomenal quality on par with a line in, but acceptable/decent will do. Has to be stealthy so club staff doesn't pwn it.
I'm seeing sasha in glasgow and mykonos (cavo paradiso ftw!) in august and would friggin kill for a recording since there hasn't been a decent sasha set released in months. |

| if you want equipment under 300 and good quality the best bet is minidisc. if you're willing to go up to 500-600, Edirol just released an impressive-looking flash based recorder. |
