can't say i've ever had that problem before. considering most of the beer i buy is imported stuff.
good question tho - i dunno how "bad" beer can go. isn't it Budweiser that has the "drink before date" on it? or something like that? |

| Beer goes bad if it is cooled then left out til it goes warm and then cooled again. Like chicken! |

Really good beer gets better with age, that's pretty rare though. Cans are a safer bet than bottles as light makes even decent beer go bad quickly. If you can keep beer in a dark, cold place it should last for weeks without issue. The higher the alcohol content and the more hops they cram into the beer, the longer the beer will last as both are preservatives.
That's why the Brits (Hodgson, specifically) created the IPA, so that their beer wouldn't go flat and sour as it endured the massive temperature fluctuations that shipping beer from the cool British seas to the much warmer (30 degrees or so :wtf: ) waters surrounding India created.
In short, sissy beer has a sissy lifespan. |

| I've had belgium wht beer that sat too long in my fridge and the yeast settled into a lump. it wasn't a pretty picture. guinness gets flat and nasty if it sits on the shelf too long. |
