Do your paents say anything when they hear you listeening to EDM? (pg. 3)

i was playing ISofS 4 while i was making dinner one night and my mom actually like it. she thought some of the melodies were "pretty". my dad refers to it as "that noise"
ie. dad says, "what are you listening to that noise for? you should listen to something with substance...like stompin' tom."
clearly his opinion doesn't count.... |

| well.. my dad likes any music with a groove and big vocals om it... and actually asked me to burn him a copy of the circuit party series... he also likes the metal stuff i listen to from pantera and soulfly, to slipknot.. altho he doesn't care much for the lyrics... my mom.. sticked to her elvis and beatles.. |

| my parents would bitch during my trance phase but nwo in my house/breaks/electro/jazz/whotheknows stage, they dont care...its just funny when they comment to others about what i listen to... "oh yea he listens to this tribal sounding beats" and make me sound like a cult member...lol |

I can't remember if I ever had my parents listen to trance. Back in the day when I lived with them and I had on some EDM my mom kinda liked it which is nice. She's quite accepting of anything I do. My dad on the other hand is a pure talk radio fan and not much into music.
On the other hand on an embarassing note I lent my bff my ipod during a road trip with her folks. She played Tiesto for her dad and he had his hands in the air and was going nuts to the music. She called me during this escapade and was like omg...my dad likes "your music".
Parents were young once too...sometimes we forget that! :) |

This is a funny question....My dad SHOCKED me one day when he walked into my room and said he liked this tune I was playing...
"better than that bull rap your sister listens to....makes me sick that gangster ."
They always liked when I played tiesto, but when I started listening to preach, etc, they commented that it was too "techno-y" and they like Tiesto better (little did they know that I was listening to many more DJ's than tiesto). |

sounds like my mother... my father likes the music plus doesnt care how loud it plays, just as long as i put it low or wear my headphones when they go sleep |
