sum's up exactly how i felt about the game. figo should've been suspended, but instead only gets a yellow card for a headbut...meanwhile next game rooney gets a red for pushing that pansy ronaldo out of the ref's face? give me a in break.
amazing how portugal couldn't even create good scoring oppurtunities when they were a man up. the score should've been 3-0 for portugal long before the game went into extra minutes but they couldn't even get close to the net.

i love to see the scotts & irish post in this thread. like they ever have anyone to follow in world cup football except whichever team is playing england.
i can undertand that youre bitter. id be pretty pissed if my team of choice sucked lots of dick too.

And even though we drew with (and should have won against) Italy and beat Norway. It wasn't enough because our old (and ) manager had blown our chances by losing to all the minows [by the time a decent non-german scottish manager was put in place].

see, there you go making assumptions. yes, im australian. no, i dont follow the socceroos. i follow england. so when youre anywhere near us on the football field then you can open your big mouth. until then, i expect you to be yelling jealous abuse from the stands.
also, as an aside, australia had to play a south american team (in this case uruguay who beat both brazil & argentina). so keep making those excuses for your B grade team. |
