Anyone going to Compound?

I'm going (friend's guest list, otherwise I'm too broke) with the mentality that I have nothing left to be stolen, no more alcohol at home to make me *or anyone else) sick before I get there, and nobody around who will try to lick my ears. :) So... tonight HAS to go well, riiiight???
Wish me luck, cause if this turns tragic like my last few attempts at having a good night, I'm swearing off ATL FOREVER!!! |

I was at compound a few weeks ago on a sat night and it sucked so bad I can't even put it into words... Mike B is the main DJ and he is hands down, the most arrogant, untalented, poser of a turn tablist I've seen in Atlanta, ever...
Thank god for bobby and his crew being there, cause that was the only good point of the whole night.... :)
Hope youre going with good people cause you'll hear nothing but hip hop and really really bad music, all around ;) |

I would recommend going on Saturdays. I am a big fan of hip hop, but I only like the oldskool, so if your like me, and hate listening to the same songs on the radio, then I would not recommend going on Friday nights.
On Saturday's, they sometimes have major Dj's who come and spin. I seen Bad Boy Bill, and DJ Dan a while ago there, and the sets were good.

Sorry bud, that was a long time ago... Surface events are no longer hosted at Compound, so it's basically a "buckhead" club now... As for the hip hop, it's not underground, it's the same bull you hear on the radio about pimps and hos...
Sucks too cause the venue rocks...:disbelief |
