Sorry to hear something so minute gives you so much trouble. I hope you can look past it later on. |
Some people may have low standards but they aren't the ones pushing things forward. |

Maybe this analogy will make sense to some. Imagine you are in a Ferrari and driving down this beautiful windy road at top speed but every 7-8 minutes or so you either hit a red light or you grind your transmission during a shift. That's what ATB is like. You're having a great time cause the music is banging then suddenly the illusion is destroyed and then you're in sonic nirvana once again. The start-stop was just killing it for me. AVB on the other hand may not be a Ferrari, but is still a fast sports car that carries you through his entire set. A DJ set is more than just a bunch of great tracks strewn together. It is a story and the DJ is responsible for telling that story and changing the direction of that story. Sometimes the DJ leads sometimes he follows the audience. I am glad that a lot of you enjoyed ATB. I wish I could have too. I guess maybe I'm just too senstive to the bad transitions and it messes it up for me.

It´s interesting how you judge my mixing! ;o)
I´ve done three breaks! Yes...you´re right...that was no transitions. But believe me..after 15 Years doing this job I know exactly what I want to do with and for the crowd in my own way! I don´t care about DJ´s who never do breaks! For me it´s a instrument to make my own up and downs and when you come with the ferrari thing I think a street with nice curves is more interesting then just a boring straight street! This is my style and the people react on it her own way as you saw! In two ours 3 breaks is not like a ferrari stops every 7 minutes I think!!
What you think about the other transitions is your own beer! You are really good in exaggerations! ;o)
For the other people...I´m looking forward for the next time in L.A.! It was a great night and also a great Set of Armin!
Best greetings

Hey Andre,
Any idea when you're going to play in Montreal? Is there anything in the works for a Canadian tour?
Cheers. :) |

Andre!!
I had an awesome time Saturday. I also saw you when you came down earlier this year and you were amazing.
Like I told everyone before, I don't care what they think about you, you still got a fan in me.
, I even declined bookings for last Saturday just so that I can go see you.
Good times! Can't wait til next time.

I would have to agree with this analogy. |

| hmm the atb i heard earlier this year in sf wasn't a bad mixer, at least not enough for me to notice or be distracted by... then again i just went out to have fun and hear all the classic atb ch00ns that you never hear anywhere else. the only time i pay close attention to the mixing is when it's exceptionally good or exceptionally bad or i'm exceptionally sober, otherwise i'd rather let loose and enjoy the music itself and the people around me... |
