england what a joke "germany 2006"

i decided to suppord england in the world cup since ireland were not involved and watching the players play every week in the premership league
all this hype surrounding england going to win the world cup and them having the best players going to win it..but god they were very bad thur the whole tourement from my poing of view.think they got the easist group stages form all the other groups and still played crap in the group stages.then england got it handy in next round with ecoador.just as well they did'nt get germany or would of been going home even earlier.
then when it came to a proper team like portugal they just wer'nt up for the challenge put in from of them.
does anybody think they are over rated as a team? sometimes when i buy the english papers they make them out to be as good as brazil or portugal?.even gary nevelle said they would be found out how good they were as a team against portugal
dont think sven was ruthless enought as a manager to drop beckham for the sake of the team and put lennon in.but with the likes of spain raul was dropped for a match and then taken off against france,even thou he was captain.
that just my two cent worth :) |
