Is there any way to get around the computer security at the place i work?
I got into work today and my ipod crashed on me [first time for everything] and the clever people at apple didn't think to put a power button on so i either have to wait for the battery to drain or plug it in when i get home and hopefully it'll 'reboot'.
i want to listen to: http://www.di.fm/mp3/trance.pls
i only have WMP and quicktime to work with, both won't allow me to open this link. when i try and open mp3 mixes it just hovers on 'opening media' indefinitly. but for some reason it allows me to play mp3s on juno samples...
is there a way to configure WMP to run it through a proxy or some such thing, or another way i can get around it?
work without music is hell.

| Try holding down the middle button and then pressing menu. If your Ipod isn't too ed up that should reset it. |

cheers, ill have to check it monday morning
it'll be my third back up.
i've bunged on a floppy:
1] the windows remote desktop exe [standalone]
2] the real vnc viewer [standalone]
so i've now got three possible ways to get remote desktop working from work :) |

i got into work thinking i may have finally won the battle for remote desktop @ work but nope i've come unstuck again.
1] the file jay sent me was blocked
2] i managed to copy the remote desktop app from floppy>my personal drive and run it, but then it doesn't connect, it doesn't even give you a cannot connect message, it simply just stays in the default state [i.e no connecting message]
3] i get the message my floppy drive is not formatted properly everytime i try to copy over the vnc viewer
i now need: http://fresh.t-systems-sfr.com/pc/s...in32_viewer.exe
surely, there must be SOME way to get around blocked download of exe's. its not a problem once ive got it because it doesnt install anything its a standalone app.
ps i've tried this one which i think nou posted:@ http://www.cyberia.fm/firejumper/
...but it doesnt work :( |
