i agree audiojelly is a little too expensive for me and i usually dont find much worth it on audiojelly that a good treasurehunting on beatport wouldnt yield ;). btw anyone use DC++ at all?? most of the time quality is mp3's and almost never the latest but every once in a while you find something solid that youve been seraching for for ages...

I buy all my music now, apart from some stuff friends send me or trade.

I will check out trackitdown, and also my friend told me of some other site but I cant ing remember the name right now...

www.juno.co.uk (one of the UK's best online record stores) do mp3s now... although they rarely seem to do downloads for tunes they've got on vinyl, obviously trying to concentrate on vinyl sales still.

www.trackitdown.net is by far the best dance mp3 download site - they've got just about everything Beatport have got (less a few really e labels you wouldn't want anything from anyway) and a load more on top of that... the player's a lot better, you can download samples of the tracks to your hard drive instead of having to stream them, or even stream them in an external player if you don't like their one... MUCH nicer to navigate around.

And they do WAVs as well :)

And they are ING expensive... on avg. its cost me $2.79USD per track... I only buy from there if I can't find something at beatport.

Yeah they are more expensive, but I tend to think of it the other way round - that Beatport are much cheaper (seeing that Audiojelly etc are about the same price as TID)... I'm afraid it's all because of the distribution laws in the UK meaning they have to give a fat wad of money to the MCPS etc for no real reason.

But personally I'd rather browse round a nice site and buy stuff on the spot than have to trawl round the e that is Beatport, having the system (particularly the media player) freeze on me half of the time and having to start again just to save a few pence/cents
