latency issues in ableton live

Heyall!:D
I am having a problem when i am playing keyboard in ableton. When i am playing live it sounds perfect, there is no delay between pressing a key and hearing the sound.
However when i playback what i've recorded the timing of the notes is quite a bit different, nothing like what i played. I have tried turning quantization off, but that does not help.
Can anyone help me please? |

| 2 things to check, is delay compensation on if you're using plug-ins and check out your audio buffer settings for your soundcard, try and get them as low as possible. Also, if you're using midi, you nedd to set the midi delay time to the same time as the soundcard latency. |
