----------DIRECTIONS----------
The best way to give you directions is the following. use Map Quest to search for Miami Seaquarium. This landmark is right before HOBIE beach.
4400 Rickenbacker Cswy, Key Biscayne, FL 33149
You need to follow directions exactly the way I post them so you won't get lost. The beach is on the same side of the Seaquarium (RIGHTSIDE OF THE CAUSEWAY).
If you reach the seaquarium you passed it. HOBIE beach has 3 entrances.
One right after you go over the big bridge where the restrooms are, the second one is where we will be & the last one which is right by the seaquarium.
Okay here we go.
Once you pay the toll to get into key biscayne, you will drive over a big bridge. Once you go over the big bridge you will pass an entrance by the restrooms. Keep going till you see the middle or second entrance to the right hand side. Once you turn we will be to the right side of the middle entrance.
Just before you reach the 2nd entrance you should see a RED MAC TOOLS TENT (or the DJ equipment). I'm gonna try to set up there cuz its a dead end. (The access road that is there has been completely blocked off. Which means we can take over that whole corner & know one will drive by us at all.)
If you don't see the tent b4 the entrance then still go in the middle entrance but make a left & we'll be near the entrance(RED MAC TOOLS TENT). That would be actually very near to where we were last year. For those who were there remember.
Now in the event that the 2nd entrance is close off. Just go down to the next or 3rd entrance & just go in through there & just back track down the access road to where we are.
If you are gonna bring something you need to get it b4 you get there because the nearest store is not a close drive.
If anyone has any question please pm by friday night cuz i will not most likely check the board until i leave. So if anyone thinks they may get lost & i will be more than happy to pm you my # so you can contact me on saturday. I hope the directions are clear enough so noone should get lost.

I'll prob. be there around 2pm...I can pack my CDJs and if you want bring my mackie as well with stand...just don't know if I can hang around until the very end. If you guys need an extra stand and top for turntables I can bring that and leave it and pick up from whoever.
If you don't want to bring laptops and worry about rain etc and hauling them around...I have an iriver I can lend you guys - it will record up to about 6 or 7 hours at 128...the higher the bit rate the less space though. Think its aroun 5 hours for 198 |

I dunno about clean - its okay...lots of sea weed and stuff washed ashore...def. wear some sort of water shoes or old gym shoes if you go in...also lots of dogs and basically the water doesn't get deep until about 30 feet out.
I'm planning on bringing a football(the one with laces) and getting messy drunk and throwing that thing around in the ocean. |
