Slipmats question

I have had my 2nd pair of technics slip mats for about 6 months, around then I notice they begin to fall apart and leave light scratchs on my records when cueing.

So I tried a scratching slip mat 'glowtronics' but I don't like the feel. Speeding up/down the record with your finger becomes alot more sensitive. Feels like the motor is weaker due to less friciton ?? Its alot softer and prob better for the records, but I prefered the solid feel of the old mats. What slipmats are you guys on if you have similar experience ?

I'm on 1200's btw.

WOW Dude!

What are you doing that your slipmats are falling apart in 6 months?

My slipmats are 3 years old, and I'm about to replace them
because they've becomed very dirty.

I think they're DMC Mats or DJMC. I only bought them based on how they looked. :D

Google brought these two sites up first.

I lived in a high dust environment for a while, and the surface of the old mat became moth-balled (best way to describe it). stuff is impossible to get off and they have alot of static, they still function regardless.
