REVIEW:
Trip: Being stuck in Brandens Cobalt(thanks for driving) with Barry & Simon for 7-8 hours wasnt the funnest thing in the world. Especially getting lost in some sketchy part of New York... :nervous:
Day 1: There werent that many people, and going to a rave in daylight is just... weird. As for Armins set, it was good but nothing special. He dropped alot of unknown tracks & the order in which he played them just didnt feel right. Also not sleeping in almost 2 days & being completely sober didnt help.
Day 2: The place was PACKED! and Armins set was really turned up a notch. He played some wicked tunes and some great classics. But I still think the order in which he played them could have been a little better. It was great to see everyone loving it.. except it seemed like they loved it a little too much.. like he could have thrown at the crowd and everyone would have cheered him on. But I guess when you become that popular, it doesnt matter what you play anymore as long as you put on a good show (ie; Tiesto).
But the best part about the night is that Armin played Iio - Rapture.. so that Branden would shut his mouth about that damn track!!
NewYork City: Can go itself in the ass! From the "I dont speaky an english" cab drivers to the cops who yell at you when you ask them a question.. it seems like everyone in the city is a total ! I'll stick with Toronto thank you.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the NYC experience. Personaly I've never had any problems when I've gone to NYC and would love to live there one day. I love that city.
Glad you guys all had a great time though. |
