I am starting to feel better, still have a horrible - but my voice is back. :)
I am going to see how I feel on saturday though. Really don't want to miss Chris's birthday... :sadgreen: |

Hey Jeff,
I am not worried about us having a good time...or about Chris' birthday plans...
I guess I am just starting to worry about general attendance at the club...so many in here that I thought would be weekly regulars...and they just don't seem to be turning up....
It scares me a little....
(scares me a lot when I hear there are performances by "drag queens"..LOL) |

i'm sure it will be a good mix daniel...grondin was a resident at fly for a long time and always had a good following there...plus you'll get yer sonic regs as well...personally i'm not crazy about drag performances in any club...they should just stick with the go go dancers :D |

I was at Bal en Blanc but I missed out on most of his set b/c I was at the trance stage. What style does he spin, tribal/vocal? And who would you compare his style to? I've not seen Cajjmere Wray either. I'm guessing he'd be a similar style as Grondin? Put me down as a maybe on the roll call. |

I'm sure the drag queen performace will be short and in between sets...shouldnt be too scary overall :) |

Now for Grondin!!! He was resident at fly for many years but also played in montreal at Stereo for 2-3 years so far. Hearing him at FLY and STEREO would be different. FLY was obviously a little more on the gay vocal side, but at stereo he played a lot harder, which i imagine will be the way he plays on saturday. I can't really explain his style...I guess its the Montreal sound. :) |
Stephan out side of Fly, would be the hard chuggy tribal house. alot of his productions are like that,, even when they're a remix of a classic gay anthem like Ultra Nate's Free. hard beats with the underlying groove that gets the booty shaking. |

I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of the guv attendees make their way over to Sonic tonight... if James Zambiela is as bad as he was the last time I saw him (he cleared the dancefloor the last time he was at System Soundbar), they would be wise to save themselves the cover & come to a real party! :)
